the mysterious construct and calamo are the highlights of the game, completely expectedly. they feel much less shoehorned in than i thought they would going by this game's marketing, and the ending is executed so well that they feel perfectly tied into botw/totk's existing narrative framework

Finished Age of Imprisonment w/ 100%
just map and char level, haha fuck weapon upgrading haha
Really enjoyed it overall, cool little additions to the Totk lore, and I loved the focus on OCs
Calamo and Construct were the highlight for me :3c

And so that is Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment complete. A very bittersweet and strong end, even if already known from Tears of the Kingdom, simply because there's a lot more connection to these characters from the greater time spent with them. Plus seeing Calamo and the Knight Construct's end.

Robo-Link plays almost like regular Link from Calamity, but since he is a construct he gets more TotK power ups. Very clear what they were planning with this character since they couldn't exactly use Link, even if he was just an unlockable.

Compared to Calamity, this roster is basically just Rauru, Minaru, Zelda, four sages for each race, Robo-Link and the greatest character exclusive to any Warriors game Calamo. and then 10 whole basic NPC characters that are worse filler then Naruto

I'm not as far through Imprisonment as I'd like to be, but so far I'd say I prefer Calamity. Imprisonment so far has had a badly told recap of what I knew from TotK, and what has been new has featured characters who have yet to show me anything interesting other than Calamo being sorta funny.

-barely present but finally getting somewhat fleshed out, and the remaining TWELVE (12) are OCs (I’m giving a pass to the construct and Calamo though, they’re cool) who feel like nobodies in my eyes, it’s hard not to be extremely let down 😭

I also kinda don't like how the "B plot" was ultimately handled because it had the absolute gigachad Calamo, recruiting stray soldiers of every race is a fun concept and they're really fun to play but they get almost no lines or development

Like, construct link and calamo get a HUGE pass because the construct is frame 1 the most interesting character in the entire game. like he's obviously the zonai's attempt at making their own artificial link.
