Bought on a whim and down to 1/4 bottle already...this is so darn good. Bladnoch Alinta, a peated expression matured in ex-bourbon and PX sherry casks and bottled at 47% abv. Fat and oily mouthful with a nice meatiness, herbs, dry grass, citrus. Will buy again! #pswhisky #sniffsipslainte

Make it 11 after a great lineup last night with friends. The Bladnoch is no longer produced, so thankful for a backup. The Bowmore will be replaced at some point, but a few more kills are in order first.

At the Diefenbunker w/ @mmdaviesostrom.bsky.social on Saturday night for their first Whisky Tasting Fundraiser since 2019. It was a fun night out w/ friends (we stayed masked as much as possible). The menu: Rabbit Hole Dareringer, Bladnoch Vinaya, Penderyn Sherrywood, and Aberfeldy 16 year-old.

Noticed a marked difference in flavour between the NAS core range (post-2015 takeover) & older age-stated bottlings - they had a slight butyric funk which I liked. The new, taller spirit stills, with their ogees, have produced a cleaner, delicate spirit.

A shame Wigtown couldn't hang on for a win but it was a fun afternoon, nicely topped off with a visit to some standing stones.

Stunning spring weather 🌞 so a trip to #Glencoe was in order. Went up Beinn A Chrualaiste #corbett grand hill with sensational views all round but of the big buchaille in particular #buchailleetivemor and what better after than a Bladnoch 14yo #whisky & Ardgour beer in #clachaig inn. #scotland
