(As an aside, I was surprised to see that the vast majority of Lancaster voters are not enrolled in a party - like me, keeping their options open to pick the best candidate for the job. This matters a lot in primaries.)

Every survey of visitors or town residents shows that a major reason for coming here or living here is the wildlife, particularly the elk and deer. Yet, there is in fact no one on the town staff responsible for saying whether new development will adversely affect elk and deer or not.

When the public is asked to vote directly on statewide policies it is vitally important that our voters know which people and organizations are funding these policy proposals.
