An abrupt tail disconnect with comet Lemmon Friday night. Almost didn't catch it in time to get in frame. The tail is streaming away fast. Frame by frame you can watch all of that breezing away from the comet 3-4 times faster than the comet is orbiting off to the left.

Always love astrophography but never had the chance to try it. Belgium’s sky is too bright. Here is Ireland near Ballyshannon

Here is the beautiful California Nebula! This is the first time I’ve tried shooting this object and I like how it turned out :). It was a lovely clear night, but it was very cold. I still had lots of fun shooting this tho!

There is so much texture and contrast in this part of the Orion molecular cloud complex. The field of view in this image is enormous, yet it is dwarfed by the full molecular cloud. I captured the data for this image back in February. #astrophtography, #photography, #deepskyobject

This is the Wizard Nebula, NGC 7380 in Cepheus processed from data I captured in 2023. I separated the nebula from the stars and processed the nebula in an HOO false color palette while preserving the natural star colors. #astrophtography, #photography, #deepskyobject

Pretty far south to ever see this but it was well worth freezing in a field to capture this over a friend's house last month.

If that's your taste and times being what they are.

Here’s the Jellyfish Nebula (IC443), captured last year with a total of 15 hours of data. I used a RedCat 51 paired with an ASI294MM Pro and Astronomik SHO filters. Planning to gather even more data on this one! #astrophotography #astronomy
