i did really like some aspects like josua (which tracks because jaime is one of my favorites in asiof), and the beginning really is so good. which is part of why i hate the rest so much rip. the plot point with the princess and the pirate was also fun (for me, not her) from what little i remember

it's annoying that there's a cap on books by people from marginalized groups in publishing yet i'm subjected to the 1000th white fourth wing-acotar-asiof remake every mf year. i'm sick of it. this 💩 is why affirmative action needs to exist in every industry in the west. the book community is cooked.
