Some of that might be partly on me tbh. I just think necromancy came in on demand from players, and while it is good on anyone following Zaros, Zamorak or maybe even Saradomin if you're a Temple Knight, it doesn't add up for others such as Armadyl and especially Icthlarin.

Also FWIW, I think armadyl would be the one god to openly support re-enacting the edicts. He's seen the terrible things Zamorak can do in times of war (Forinthry) and was the only god to suffer that personal loss during the last god wars. He'd do anything to avoid others going through that again.
