By that definition no one would go bald from male pattern baldness, and only people with alopecia totalis would count. Larry David also very vocally identifies as a member of the bald community and I think they accept him as well

I don't agree with this at all. A lot of folks have a lot of reasons for not being able to wear their own hair. Time, money, exercise, health (alopecia, trichotillomania, cancer etc).

im trying to stay optimistic because all things considered theyre both in great physical health. gnocchi still has the alopecia issue ive been struggling to find a cause for but shes otherwise very healthy. aand mocha is overweight even tho shes been on a diet for a really long time so shes probably

I’m sorry you’ve been dealing with this. I went through hair loss due to lupus/alopecia and I know how hard it can be. 💕 i hope you can get some treatment or anything else that makes you feel more comfortable in your skin. 💕

Then I had the breakage issues where similar to you the only thing that saved me was that my hair was so thick, so I have dealt with both

I have a spot in the back where my alopecia cuts up. It hasn’t happened in years but it’s back now. I can disguise it most times cause my hair is so thick. It’s not the same thing but I understand regrowth cycles. It looks like this is working well for you so far 🤎
