What I appreciate is that in the text of the alert, theu now include qualitative degree of certainty.

@alberniweather Oh, I was also going to say that rain across the island from say Tofino to Parksville is strongly orographically forced. I'm sure Port Alberni patterns are influenced to a large degree in this way.

The Alberni Airport station set a high temperature record for a fifth day in a row yesterday. 35.4°C beat all other temperatures for August 26 since that station came online in 1994. There is less of a chance for a 6th record today. The forecast is for a high of 34°C, and the airport record is 35.1°C set just two years ago. The historical record is 36.7°C from 1916 at the Beaver Creek station. #weather #climatechange #PortAlberni #bcweather #drought #hot
