A 45 kilómetros de Pamplona, Sangüesa (Zangoza) se encuentra en la Navarra Media Oriental. Situada en la margen izquierda del río Aragón. Fronteriza y jacobea, hospitalaria y monumental, Sangüesa es mezcla de montaña y ribera, una ciudad para contemplar y vivir. Interesantes edificios civiles, iglesias y conventos evocan épocas de esplendor y descubren una ciudad ligada a sus tradiciones. Aquí tiene lugar, cada 6 de enero, el Auto Sacramental de los Reyes Magos, uno de los cinco que se conservan en España. La primitiva ciudad estuvo emplazada sobre un cabezo rocoso, la actual villa de Rocaforte, que hizo de frontera ante el avance de los musulmanes, pero la Ruta Jacobea propició en el siglo XII el nacimiento en el llano, de Sangüesa la Nueva, que rápidamente se convirtió en villa importante del Camino de Santiago procedente de Somport. A Sangüesa se accede cruzando el puente metálico sobre el río Aragón. Desde Sangüesa hay numerosas opciones de excursión. Los aficionados al senderismo tienen a su disposición el parque de la Foz de Lumbier y de Arbayún. En tanto que los amantes del avistamiento de aves tienen cerca la laguna de Pitillas al pie de la localidad de Ujué. Los interesados en el patrimonio religioso tienen dos importantes lugares de peregrinación: el santuario – castillo de Javier y el monasterio de Leyre. Imponente es la cercana Sos del Rey Católico, una de las plazas fuertes medievales mejor conservadas de Europa.

Concerns about signalling are somewhat overblown given a) the ties already exist in various forms (eg Five Eyes, AUSCANNZUKUS, ABCANZ, AFIC, AUKMIN, and AUKUS), b) the change with the present is doing so without the US, and c) it’s not mutually-exclusive with reintegrating with Europe.
