In case anyone is interested, we were playing a game called "Vagrantsong", which uh.... well, the owner of the game described it as a Bluegrass Ghostly Gloomhaven (although much simpler than Gloomhaven).

it's one of the main reasons I was never tempted to try Cuphead. And, quite frankly, a reason I never took too deep a look at Vagrantsong.

Played the first two missions in the Vagrantsong campaign with some friends before they got overwhelmed with work. It's really cool and fun, although the rules to figure out how to control the enemy can be pretty dense at first. I could see it getting repetitive over a whole campaign tho.

• Folklore: The Affliction - heard it can be frustratingly swingy
• Oathsworn - haven’t heard many negatives about it tbh
• Vagrantsong - heard it can get repetitive

Defeated by a board game. We're no strangers to games with a LOT of pieces and a lengthy setup, but Vagrantsong is on another level entirely. We spent over an hour just trying to get the game set up to play, and even then it was not clear *how* to play. The rulebook is disordered and lengthy.
