Los Arbolitos

Souls of trees singing
Rooted rising towards sun
Bark brown like my skin

A poem by Rosemerry Wahtola Trommer which we read aloud in our #TuBiShvat seder tonight. Here's to goodness burgeoning. Snow notwithstanding, here's to spiritual spring.

Tu Bishvat reminds us that growth begins quietly. What we nurture today—roots, nature, stories—shapes what endures tomorrow. With patience and care, deep foundations allow life, creativity, and culture to flourish. 🌱📖 #TuBishvat

It's #TuBiShvat – a New Year for trees and a reminder that no one is beyond regrowth. When working on personal (re)growth, remember to nourish yourself with self-care and the support of others. #mentalhealth #judaism

Today is Tu BiShvat ט״ו בִּשְׁבָט 🌳

The שְׁקֵדִיָּה (almond tree) blooms first each year — early, diligent, and alert.
In Hebrew, its root ש-ק-ד means to be attentive and quick to act.

Tu BiShvat reminds us: growth begins by showing up.

חג שמח 🌸💙

🌳 Tu BiShvat is about you. 🌳 Like trees need roots to bear fruit, we need faith & values to grow. Growth isn't overnight—it's season by season. 🌿Ask: Are my roots deep? Am I growing?🍎 #TuBiShvat #JewishWisdom #Chabad #JewishHolidays #SpiritualGrowth #RootsAndFruits

Hello February 💙

A short month — but a meaningful one.

This month brings Tu BiShvat, the New Year of the Trees 🌱 A reminder that growth starts quietly, beneath the surface

Language learning works the same way.
Roots first. Consistency. Patience.
Then suddenly — words stick

If it's too cold in your area to plant a tree for Tu Bishvat, you can plant a tree in Israel for yourself or as a gift to honor someone. Check out JNF - they've been planting trees & caring for the earth for decades.

Tu Bishvat, traditionally the "New Year for Trees," is increasingly recognized as a "Jewish Earth Day," urging a critical examination of our response to escalating environmental crises that imperil all life on Earth.

More good things from today: almond trees blooming just in time for Tu Bishvat and winter wildflowers coming out! I hope it rains so they'll last a little longer. A really beautiful day today.
