As Iran’s people rise against oppression, I asked rabbis to pause and pray—for freedom, safety, and hope. When voices are silenced, prayers speak louder. We stand with the Iranian people

The secret to a blessed week is a holy Shabbos. It’s the root. Water it with rest.

Fish never close their eyes.
And neither does God.
While we sleep, while we worry, while we wait—
He’s always watching over us. 🙏🏽

Just because the fish itself is kosher doesn’t mean everything about it is. 🐟✡️
This fish was cut with a non-kosher knife possibly used for lobster, so the affected section must be removed. Kashrut is in the details.

Why fish on Shabbat? 🐟
I asked Rabbi Mendy and discovered it’s not just tradition—it’s Torah wisdom. From blessing and abundance to spiritual depth, even what’s on our plate teaches us how to live a more elevated Shabbat.

Mind-blowing theory! 🤯 Abraham sent his children with Keturah (idol worshipers) "to the East" with spiritual gifts. Could this be the origin of mystical concepts in Far Eastern religions that align with Kabbalah? A deep spiritual connection to the ancestor of the faiths! 🕊️ #Judaism #Kabbalah

In Judaism, holy books aren’t thrown away. When sacred texts wear out, they’re treated with dignity and buried in the earth. Because words that carry G-d’s name never become trash—only honored. This is called genizah.

You’d never guess what’s inside this building… 👀
An Orthodox synagogue in Fair Lawn, NJ that feels like stepping into Noah’s Ark. Watch till the end.

The introduction of moral law—like the Ten Commandments and the Seven Laws of Noah—challenged the way people lived, creating discomfort for some and a spiritual awakening for others. It all comes down to how you react to a higher power! 🤔🙏✨

Loss is one of the hardest parts of life. In Judaism, mourning is not passive—it calls us to action.
When a loved one passes away, family and community keep their soul alive through mitzvos, charity, and remembrance.
This is how Jewish tradition transforms grief into light.

When the security guard asks the Rabbi a halacha question 😄
James measured his booth and asked if it needs a mezuzah. We checked together—minimum is about 6×6 ft. His booth is 6×4, so no mezuzah required. Torah meets real life. 🔐📜

Saturday night Chanukah = Jewish dilemma 🤔
Havdalah first or Menorah first?
Ella explains it the long way 😄
Short answer: First Havdalah to say goodbye to Shabbat, then Menorah to welcome the Chanukah light 🕯️✨

“‘We should listen carefully to what the Chanukah lights are telling us.’
The menorah doesn’t just shine — it speaks.
In a world full of noise, sometimes the deepest messages come in quiet flames.
Pause. Look. Listen.
What are the lights saying to you? 🕯️🔥

On Chanukah, one candle stands taller—the shamash.
Why? Because it lights every other flame.
Judaism says the highest place belongs to those who help others shine.
