High in the Troodos mountains, Kykkos Monastery has stood for centuries.
Visitors still pause to show respect — sometimes by covering bare shoulders or shorts with a borrowed gown.

I’ve lived in 5 countries, including nearly a decade in a remote Bulgarian village (Slavovitsa, Pazardzhik). I enjoyed that more than any city.

Let’s see what life in a #Troodos mountain village will bring. Can’t wait!

The star of the Palouze Festival in Pachna Village is, of course, palouze itself
Under the sun-dappled canopy of the Troodos Mountains, where the air is rich with the scent of ripe grapes and wild thyme, a village awakens to a tradition both ancient and sweet.
