Triangleman voices a critical question.

...waits for the non sequitur response that dismisses the question without addressing it...

Triangleman suggests writing down a decision we've made collectively so we don't have to go through the whole process of fact-finding and alternative-considering again in next week's meeting.

...waits to be told he is stifling creativity and inhibiting flexibility...

That is a pretty perfect point. Can’t wait to find out what the top 3 are. I am assuming Triangleman isn’t one of them.

On the slicing of pizzas [TDI 4]
This week we get to the origins of the Decimal Institute. One Thursday evening, I was sitting around thinking about the Khan Academy knowledge map, trying to put my finger on the exact argument tha…

Okay that makes sense. I thought it was something much bigger than that. (Whew) I still need an update. Hopefully Triangleman will have the time (and inclination) to steer me right (round).

Y'all are the best!

It's like the old days right now!

Triangleman has idea at lunch, builds prototype in the afternoon, has conspirators by evening, and is learning whether the idea is any good in short order.

Still plenty of opportunity if you and small child want to play along!
Hey you! Will you be hanging out with a small child in the toddler-through-preK age range sometime soon?

Wanna try out a new thing and report back on whether it's any fun?

Get in touch on the contact page: talkingmathwithkids.com/contact and I'll send you an early early draft.

There is an imagination library booth in here. I subjected the staffer there to the intense Triangleman questioning.

Not this lady of course. This one is just a cardboard cutout. She cannot answer any questions

NINETY-FIVE CENTS, TRIANGLEMAN?!?!?!

I know that's what you're thinking. These are General Admission tix to see my beloved, but bottom-of-the-B1G Wolverines in the men's conference tournament. Tix themselves are $5 each.

Also get at big questions like who is included and who isn’t. Men, women, what about non-binary? Ambiguity invites discourse. (Paging triangleman…) elementary can get every kid to share. Secondary most. But the questions are accessible.

I was reminded this week of a story I have not told here.

I might have told it in the other social place, but I don't think so.

It's a tragic tale of absurdity, schools, curriculum, and Triangleman angst.

omg i cannot with the KA AI nonsense today.

Back in the day, it was all about pausing the videos to go at your own pace. But the videos sucked. They had bad math, poorly explained.

"It's not about the videos, Triangleman. It's the assessments."
