Our scholars deserve state-of-the-art learning spaces.

This afternoon, I joined NYC School Construction Authority for a tour of the new addition at P.S. 160Q in #TheGreat28, equipped with new classrooms, cafeteria, playground, and more.

Yesterday, at our #SoutheastQueens Senior Appreciation Month concert with Uptown, I was proud to share that @council.nyc.gov allocated over $820K to improve four older adult centers in #TheGreat28!

I'm proud to see Abigail Ramnarine, a student in #TheGreat28, continuing to inspire through her art with the Mayor's Office for the Prevention of Hate Crimes' Youth Ambassador Leadership Program.

Initiatives like these empower our young people to stand up to hate and build a more inclusive city.

Libraries are the cornerstone of our communities. I am excited to break ground on the renovated @qplnyc.bsky.social Baisley Park Library branch in #TheGreat28!

With nearly $5M from @council.nyc.gov, this state-of-the-art branch will feature a new children’s area, green roof, solar panels and more.

For nearly 5 decades, Masjid Al Abidin has served as a spiritual and community hub in #TheGreat28.

I was proud to uplift their immense contributions by unveiling a new street sign in honor of their enduring legacy and history!

Projects like the cloudburst drainage system at NYCHA’s South Jamaica Houses in #TheGreat28, which I was proud to support through capital funding, help protect our communities from flooding.

This is especially critical as extreme weather events occur more frequently.

Today, we cut the ribbon on brand-new basketball courts at Rochdale Park in #TheGreat28!🏀

Thanks to nearly $3M in funding from @council.nyc.gov + the Queens Borough President, this renovated space now has new asphalt, lighting, bleachers, and other amenities families can enjoy for years to come.

In the Fiscal Year 2026 city budget, I'm proud to have allocated nearly $2 million for roadway resurfacing throughout #TheGreat28.

This work is well underway, and once completed, our neighborhoods will have smooth and repaved roads for all street users!
