Det är min filosofi också. Tycker jag har haft god utdelning av det genom karriären. Man hjälper till där det går och då får man hjälp när man själv tabbar sig nästa gång, för det kommer hända

A pet peeve of mine is apps that add features through expanding the tabbar or adding additional buttons on the main screen.
A great example of the opposite of this is Telegram, which is packed with features, but still super simple to use.

Som forelder slit eg også med mangel på info, eller info som kjem seint/via ungane (/ikkje kjem før om morgonen den dagen det skjer). Og håpar foreldre gir beskjed viss eg tabbar meg ut på det. Vi gir beskjed om alt. “Må ungane kjøpe lås til skapet på skulen seier du? Men kva med gratisprinsippet?”.

Having the back button at the bottom of the screen is a very nice idea ! It’s way more accessible 🤩
However, maybe shifting the tabbar to the left might prevent the user from having a muscular memory to touch the icons?

Kanske ska jag testa att lära mig något av mina gamla hjältar Hellacopters? Men de är för små internationellt för att det ska verka finnas mycket tabbar ute. (Om det inte har ändrats sedan senast jag kollade för flera år sedan)

Samtidigt så fjantar styrelsemedlemmar för ryska Heritage Foundation runt på skumparty i Turkiet och de hyser diverse gängledare och annat löst folk. En form av fristad om man vill.

So it should be fully solved for iOS as here the native side manages the views, on Android the system supplies only the tabbar so the change of views is on the JS side but it should be a little bit faster as there is no need to handle tab bar animations in JS.

for home button just put the dot into the tabbar like all other apps. i don’t mind an occasional “scroll to top” overlay at the top of the feed (since i’ve already read that content) but ideally it also shouldn’t show up right after a refresh as it does now.

So, small update on my @vivaldi.com adventure...after some pretty wild css I was able to get an auto hiding left tabbar that doesn't move the content of the page, doesn't close when you open a popup and it's pretty close to Arc...i might actually try the switch.

So, small update on my @vivaldi.com adventure...after some pretty wild css I was able to get an auto hiding left tabbar that doesn't move the content of the page, doesn't close when you open a popup and it's pretty close to Arc...i might actually try the switch.

the tabs changing sizes after one is closed isn't time-based, it happens as soon as the cursor stops hovering the tabbar and no earlier.
glad to see developers actually avoiding layout shift for once.

It has been about 7 years since I started to use Sketch and for the first time I knew I can use TabBar in Sketch. WTF.
