The chamber vibrated as the disembodied voice thundered again, rattling the stone and metal around them. "KNEEL. Kneel before the Dragon of Zakuul!" The air itself twisted-thin, sharp, suffocating. Vaylin staggered back, hands clamping over her ears, but it wasn't the sound she was trying to block. It was the memory. "No-no, not again!" she choked, voice cracking. "Damn you, Father! Damn you to the void!" She dropped to her knees —not in submission, but under the crushing psychic weight of the echo that had once broken her mind. The blue-yellow nodes on her brow blazed with furious light, pulsing in time with her thundering heartbeat. Aquilan rushed forward, grabbing her shoulders. "Vaylin—Vaylin, look at me! It's not him. He's gone." Arcann stepped between her and the looming statues, his saber igniting with a snap-hiss. "It's just an echo. Nothing more." Senya knelt beside her daughter, hands trembling as she reached for her. "Vaylin—listen to me. He can't touch you anymore. You're free." But the voice continued, layered with Valkorian's cold authority: "Kneel, child. Submit. You are MINE." Vaylin screamed again, raw and terrified. "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!" she roared, slamming her palm against the stone floor so hard the ground cracked beneath her hand. Light burst outward from her—a shockwave of' blue-gold power that blew dust and loose stones across the chamber. Aquilan held firm, gripping her face gently but firmly. "Hey—hey, stay with me," he said whispered. "You're here. Now. with us... with me." Her breathing hitched, sharp and shallow. But her eyes—wild, glowing, unfocused—finally locked onto his. "Aquilan... I don't want to go back there," she whispered, trembling. "You're not going back," he murmured. "You're confronting it. And you're not alone." Arcann stood over them, protective as a shield.

Vaylin's breath shook, and for a moment she didn't pull away. Aquilan squeezed her hand gently. Senya stepped closer, her voice softening into something heartbreakingly maternal. "I won't force myself on you," she said. "But if you return to Nathema, then I go as well. I will not let you face that darkness without me." Vaylin's jaw clenched, tears stinging again-not from fear this time, but from the ache of being cared for. "You two... don't have to" "Yes," Arcann interrupted. "We do." Senya nodded, eyes shining. "And we want to." Vaylin broke then—not loudly, not dramatically —just a small, wounded sound escaping her throat as she looked away. "I hate that place," she whispered. Senya's heart splintered. "I know. And that is why you will not face it alone." Arcann stepped closer, lowering his voice to barely above a whisper. "You survived Nathema twice now. You will not endure it again. Not in silence. Not in suffering. Not without us." Vaylin stared at all three of them— Aquilan holding her hand, Senya's steady, trembling presence, Arcann's unshakable support and for the first time in her life, she didn't feel trapped. She felt surrounded. Protected. Not by duty. Not by manipulation. Not by fear, but by people who loved her. And that broke her more gently than Nathema ever broke her violently. She nodded once, small and shaking. "Fine... come," she whispered. Aquilan squeezed her hand. Arcann's shoulders eased.

"So Valkorian really is Izax, the Emperor. since they are all tied together. " Borias said. "Yes." Nahut stepped forward. "We battled with Zildrog a century ago. He was injured, almost dead. He disappeared shortly after." "It makes sense now.." Borias said. "His disappearance from Ziost, his sudden appearing on Zakuul, his power, my loss of memory... Vitiate must have divided himself like Revan and Izax." "Valkorian was the last one to see Zildrog, your emperor alive." Scyva said softy, looking down at the force ghost. " Valkorian took our power before we retreated to the GRAVESTONE to rest, then he trapped you when you destroyed his body." Arcann actually chuckled. "We always believed that Zildrog was a myth growing up. A scary story told to children to make them behave. "His heavily scarred cheeks broke into a grin. "As it turns out, he's on of the lost Gods of Zakuul." "And a lost emperor." Borias spirit added. "I knew something was off when we found the GRAVESTONE." Lana said. "Something just didn't feel right about it. " "It is almost as though we were meant to find it." Borias said. "Vitiate was not destroyed as we believed, his power only drained after Ziost. He apparently was only biding his time, laying in wait, until he could gain his power back and rise again." Amethesta nodded her white head. "Lord Scourge thought the same thing, and he believed that if we destroyed the emperor's original body, then you would be free." She looked at the ghost thoughtfully. I got used to being alone, and I hated it. You've shown me real love and you made it all worthwhile. I guess in a way, we really saved each other. I never thought I would be truly happy, but you've proved me wrong." "I have had my share of unpleasant events, but meeting you was the best thing that ever happened to me.
