Bizarrely, the ride into Barcelona nearly broke me. The last couple of hours are quite dull, and for the first time ever I missed my stop because the stations in the Barcelona tunnels are poorly signed and terribly lit, and the train’s info system wasn’t working. Plus… #Schengen20

The diversion off the main road to serve Björkliden station (where no one departs and no one arrives) nets us a great view over the immense, 70km-long Torneträsk lake. RAF bombers heading to Tromsø to sink the ‘Tirpitz’ rendezvoused over the lake, a bit of a no-no given 🇸🇪 neutrality. #Schengen20
