On Nov 10, 2024, a boat carrying 180 Rohingya from Thamee Hla village in Buthidaung capsized off the coast near Hai Gyi Island in the Ayeyarwaddy Region.
Tragically, out of the 180 individuals on board, 174 lost their lives, leaving only six survivors (4 men and 2 women).
