No sooner mentioned the Thug than saw r/Battletech talk about favorite 80-tonners. The Awesome is great, if a bit linear and the SRMs are just...not good. The Zeus is a fine all-rounder, but boring. The Victor was a surprise fave. JJ & and AC/20 will do that though.

I should also add that it's honestly a franken mech by the time I'm done with it because it's using a Clan XL engine, clan armor ferro, small cockpit, and some other things to reduce weight but I literally only have SRMs on it. It's ludicrously expensive to maintain, use, and make.

I dare you reverse-engineer the test set for the Space Shuttle SRMS Display and Control Panel. My memory is failing. I think it's A1A8 or A8A1.
Even the engineers who worked on it don't know how it works. 😂 No joke! The panel is just under the aft-bay window.

And that heat is mitigated by the DHS. And backing those up, are 2 SRM6s with a decent ammo load. So in close, switch to SRMs and Cluster, and suddenly tanks start exploding. It's scarily good. It'd run hot early, but not so badly that it'd be crippled.
