OK, installing Linux on a desktop PC. Choice of AMD or Nvidia GPU (either 4090 on the main rig or 9070 XT on the container SFF PC). Gaming-focused distro recommendations, other than Bazzite which is my default choice?

I have the PC sickness known as - I now refuse to consider any build that isn't small form factor. I hate lugging around ATX systems SO much and I've significantly preferred my desktop being on an ITX platform. Hell, I'm considering downsizing from my NR200. But SFF parts are so expensive it's sad.

That does increase the price of portables, but have you seen the size of it? I imagine making it that small jacks up the price as well.

Knew I shouldn't have bought that SFF PC, it most likely has unpatchable security holes in it. AMD might cost more now. So replacing it with AMD, might be expensive, and I need three ethernet ports.

Last build of mine before the current one. Just a SFFPC I built beginning of 2022 :3 Another sandwich-style case, even smaller than the last one. This time tho, my big tower cooler sticks out the side. This was small enough to fit in my backpack without compromising on CPU cooling.

Absolutely. I'd just ask yourself: are you looking to have the end product of an easy-to-build SFF PC, or are you looking for the more rewarding experience of building your own PC and saying you've done so? This is far more the former than the latter.
