#Otpor
“Non-violent.”

The term “peaceful” can be subjective.

Highly recommend the guide from the otpor group in Serbia that voted a dictator out of power;

Otpor in Serbia VOTED A DICTATOR OUT OF POWER.

This entire global authoritarian crack down began after MULTIPLE non violent civil resistance wins, leading to the Arab spring that scared the shit out of the oligarchs.

The people have the power, if they will wield it.

By "regime change" he meant things like Otpor in Serbia voting a dictator out of power. South Korea holding their leader to account for insurrection. End of apartheid in South Africa...

Violence is self defeating. Otpor in Serbia VOTED a dictator out of power. You have to actually TRY democracy before you say it doesn’t work.

It’s not a “complete” sham. Otpor in Serbia voted a dictator out of power through overwhelming a corrupt system. We’ve gotten progressives into office. We can bring change if we want it bad enough.

Otpor in Serbia voted a dictator out of power.

If you think there’s nothing the people can do, go touch grass. Otherwise you’re just a fascist troll.

Successful peaceful resistance movements: Indian independence (Gandhi), the Civil Rights Movement (Martin Luther King Jr.), the fall of the Milosevic regime in Serbia (Otpor), the Velvet Revolution in Czechoslovakia, the Baltic countries, all characterized by civil disobedience, boycotts, marches,

Otpor in Serbia voted a dictator out of power.
We can cry about it or we can act.

After several successful nonviolent movements like Otpor in Serbia, the Arab Spring happened and scared the shit out of oligarchs worldwide.
They have collectively decided to capitulate to fascism lead by Russia’s disinfo network, rather than risk austerity for the rich.

Otpor didn’t just protest, but created very mindful campaigns centered around getting people out to vote.

Sure, the peaceful protest worked.

/s

Oh except it wasn’t solely peaceful and let’s see oh right the United States caused it to happen, a specialty of the US government for decades before then.

Non-violent resistance is not peaceful. If you actually looked at what the Civil Rights movement did, or Otpor, instead of dismissing them, you'd see that.

You're pushing a worthless token effort while decrying the main ways we can exercise our power. We're done here.

Otpor in Serbia voted a dictator out of power. 90 million Americans don’t vote. If we want it badly enough, we can bring change, but we’ve got to get organized.
