C. elegans do a crazy thing -- when we inject DNA into their gonad, they package it all up into a big circular chromosome. This is great for transgenesis -- we can put whatever we want in there. Usually it's a small number of plasmids, but in NeuroPAL, it's something like 41!

Unfortunate overall findings, but I see that #neuropal care successfully decreased ED visits and hospitalizations community-dwelling people with dementia
D-CARE and IN-PEACE randomized clinical trials for persons with dementia (JAMA 2025) - "Despite the disappointing results, we must continue to innovate and find ways to improve care because the challenges caused by dementia remain"

Lmao! I actually met with Nationwide Children’s PD but I would’ve had to add 3 extra years which sounded awful. So now my goal is to inherit complex neurodev kids transitioning to adult for neuropal care 💜
