Lucien was concerned before that Aimery pretending to be de Guise would take a toll. It's corrosive to be around people with no checks on the worser parts of their natures. And he was right. This “pay to win” factor was less of an issue prior to Gen 8. However, finding Pokemon with the right IV’s and Natures combined was also near impossible.
