#Modulex
then you could simply invoke like `just moduleX/recipeY`. i like that idea a lot

why not modulex system compatible instead
September 30, 2025 at 4:44 PM
Lego should bring back modulex, I'd happily buy a bucket of those little fuckers to mess around with

1/6 Scale Addams Family mansion in modulex (so that it's actually scale rather than the weird janky approximation you have to do with lego)

Oooo a rarely seem Lego modulex set

Holy shit thank you @rylieaitch.bsky.social

This is so cool!!!

Kids and Lego?! What gave the producers this crazy idea? Lego is a serious design tool for adults. Everyone knows that. Next thing you know, they'll be trying to convince us that Modulex is not a toy.

I believe this is all the Lego.

Big blue and yellow are Lego Storage.
Small green on the blue stud are Modulex.
Both not system
The rest are all system and are all connected.
The white and green base are Duplo.
The yellow and dark blue are Quatro.
The black beam is Technic.
The rest is normal Lego.

I already had a lot of modulex then recently bought another collection so I have more than I know what to do with lmao. just thought I’d offer!

watching a video about weird lego bricks and bro just made a whole video essay about modulex, then did a "9 strage lego bricks" video afterward.
May 22, 2025 at 4:05 AM
maybe I should make a lego planning system a la modulex, I feel like I'm missing this in my wretched life
May 16, 2025 at 8:23 AM
I think this company also makes 1:1 compatible bricks, but this is a 'Mini' set, so its bricks appear to be around 80% of the size of official LEGO

not sure how they compare with other systems; I don't have any Modulex or Nanoblock to compare to and no access to any Megabloks NANO I have

Bring back Modulex!
March 12, 2025 at 10:35 PM
Yes to all of the above! I just need to refine pin and axle holes, really, and then I can get armour going. I'd also like to eventually fully recreate the Mctoran - they're too limited in colour right now.
I've tested glow in the dark once, but the end goal is to match every Lego colour (no modulex)
March 4, 2025 at 6:33 PM
The did that in the 60s, it's called Modulex.
February 10, 2025 at 4:43 PM
Yeah lol

It’s honestly really interesting to see tinier versions of something that we’re familiar with. I mean i remember when i found out that Lego made a smaller variant in the 60’s called Modulex, and was mainly made for business use.

Not quite Modulex, but close

Here is a fandom article about them and the history of the product! And the company still exists today, albeit not with its original purpose but still in some iteration related to architecture. #lego #legosky #oddhistory
Modulex
Modulex was a building system that was designed for adults. It was developed by The LEGO Group at the same time as their Modulex sets were produced from 1963 until 1965, and were exclusively available...

In some lighter news, I started a knock-off Lego today that is about 3/4 the size of actual Lego. And they remind me of Modulex blBricks, a small offshoot of Lego started in 1963, built purposely for architecture students.

It was called Modulex
