We've seen quite spectacular sunsets this summer so far, and now it's the time of the year when the sun sets in to the sea, visible from our grounds. It’s always lovely to see guests step outside in the calm of the evening to admire the view.

Showcasing our local beaches - Gutterby, a quiet 25-minute walk away. You can also visit Silecroft, just a 4-minute drive where you can treat yourself with coffee & cakes at the café.
Visit at low tide if you can.

During heavenly, cooling dip in crystal clear water of the River Liza, a pleasant 14.2°C, encountered this shy Brown Trout parr who was later joined by a much more inquisitive friend (see above). Saw several more upstream.
