I don't want to compare this to the original series, but I came into this expecting a lot of the same. In some ways, it is as the number of characters that crossover is extensive, but it doesn't have the espionage and suspense elements. This is also much shorter. Those are NOT digs either way because I absolutely love this book. They are simply facts. 😘

Macon Miles and Sarah Allyson (Ally) Jones are perfectly imperfect. They have secrets that eventually catch up with them, but the journey? Oh, that journey! The discovery, exploration, acceptance, and light are just fantabulous.

There are some really dark moments from the past, as well as unwanted attention that goes too far, but the abundance of comedic moments make it easy for me to not think too much about them. Ian Taggart is the source of most of the laughs. 😂🤣😂

Macon's insecurities with his prosthetic (C-Leg) are understandable. I like that we see him struggle with how it happened and the overall impact on his relationships and quality of life until he finds that one thing that begins pulling him out of it. It's not always pretty, but it is very realistic.

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrator, Lance Greenfield, does a really good job and keeps me wanting to listen to more. A female assist would've been nice, but this is enjoyable as-is. 🎧🩶🎧
