في خطوة فنية عميقة ومؤثرة، شارك الفنان العراقي غسان غائب في معرض LACDA الفني بمدينة لوس أنجلوس، حاملاً معه مشروعًا بصريًا يعبر عن معاناة اللاجئين وتداعيات اللجوء من منظور فني وإنساني، من خلال عمله الذي حمل عنوان "رحلة السنونو". يعد هذا العمل نقطة تحوّل كبيرة في مسيرة غائب الفنية، حيث يتناول تجربة اللجوء في سياق يدمج بين الأبعاد الشخصية والكونية، مقدماً رؤية جديدة للمشاهد العالمي حول ما يعنيه التهجير القسري والانتماء في ظل العالم المعاصر. "من الذاكرة الشخصية إلى الرسالة العالمية" في تصريح له ضمن البيان المرافق لمشاركته في المعرض، يشير غسان غائب إلى أن فكرة "رحلة السنونو" استُلهمت من صورة الطائر المهاجر الذي يعود دائمًا إلى عشه الأول، وهو تصوير رمزي يعكس مسار حياته الشخصية منذ بداية لجوئه إلى السويد عام 2007، عندما وجد نفسه غريباً في وطن لا يرحب به.

So I fucked up so big I was logging into the wrong site my Section Voucher is still valid I really am stressed about losing Section 8, haven't gone 2 months seizure free in 6+ months guess all the stress caught up to me and made me make a huge mistake. I am deeply sorry to LACDA, I fucked up.
