Die Hochzeit des preußischen Soldatenkönigs Friedrich Wilhelm I. war 1706 die Prägung prächtiger Medaillen wert ! Und auch am neuen Berliner Schloss wieder sichtbar !

WIP update for Brigitte and Adelaide.

I lied about being mostly finished with the linework, but Adelaide's should be mostly done now. Got the flat colors set, and will figure out the rest of Brigitte's linework to be in line with Adelaide's later.

There might be something going on between them. 👍

The next one can be interpreted as Helfried IV inheriting Helfried III's debts or Helfried V settling Helfried III's debts, with the final one depicting Helfried V abdicating for his nephew, Helfried VI, starting the tradition of Fürst von Riggafeld abdicating for their successor. Brigitte is looking towards Adelaide. She has reddish-brown eyes and black hair. She wears a blue riefelharnisch with gilding, the tonlet styled to mimic the skirt of a doublet. Her cuirass has a second layer of plates that are held into place. The couters have a shell-like motif. Adelaide, the taller of the two, is smiling. Her hair is red and her eyes are a light blue. She wears a grey harnisch, with her cuirass fluted and the tonlet styled to mimic the skirt often worn by Imperial lords over their armor.

Mostly finished linework for Kurfürstin Brigitte Helfried-Merhengstburg, Fürstin von Riggafeld and Frau Adelaide Nwaamarschen, heiress to the castle Nwaamarsch in the Grossherzogtum Vierselant and a member of the Riggafeld court.

There's nothing going on between them. 👍
Two women in armor, one's harness is heavily fluted and the taller of the two wears smooth armor beyond the breastplate and tonlet. The tonlet of their armor is made to resemble a pleated dress with Brigitte's being noticeably shorter. A helmet is on a table, its crown depicting the early rule of the Helfried-Merhengstburgs over Riggafeld. Its crest depicts a sea-unicorn rested on a rock with waves crashing against it.

Not sure if I'm finished yet, mostly in regards to the background.

She is dressed in robust yellow and green garments with gilded and pearl decorations around her neck and breast. A rondel with a tassel hangs from her collarbone, depicting her sigil, a yellow tower on a green field. A second shows a red horned merhorse on a blue field. The skirt of her dress is a striped green and yellow, heavily gathered in one of her hands. The other holds a leather-bound book with a wood-engraved cover depicting a knight (covered by her hand) approaching a giant in the forest and spine with the author's name. The other woman, somewhat shorter, is of a tan complexion with black hair and reddish eyes. She is dressed in fluted armor with a seashell-like elbow-covering. Round gilded plates with blue and yellow tassels are tied together in a similarly colored threads with a gold-bordered shield depicting her sigil (a red horned merhorse against a castle wall over the sea) comprise her chain of office. A pleated skirt in an alternating pattern of red & yellow and blue & yellow is worn over her armor. A hand is around her partner's waist and another rests on the arm of a chair. Resting against the chair is a decorated ceremonial sword with a pair of merhorse tails decorated with pearls, gilding, and jewels composing the guard. A gilded seashell is stamped to both sides of the pommel, a later addition made by Fürst Helfried VII Helfried-Merhengstburg. Initial plans had included a wood-engraved handle and a pommel beset with various jewels. The sword was left unfinished after the death of its original commissioner and founder of their familial branch, Fürst Helfried III Merhengstburg, who had nearly bankrupted the family in its funding.

I made the sword's handle too fat in model, but otherwise, the ceremonial sword of Riggafeld is meant to be so stupidly impractical.

Some updates.
Basic version is coming along nicely, though not as quickly as I had hoped.
I will have to redo the crests in the second image, as I don't like how they turned out. Will try a more wave-like style than the three sea-horse tails currently.
Brigitte Helfried-Merhengstburg in a blue and gold Riefelharnisch. Her garments underneath are shades of red. Floral patterns, apples, and sea-horses are detailed in the gilding of her breastplate, spaulders, and gorget. [From Left to Right] Three configurations for Kurfürstin Brigitte Helfried-Merhengstburg, Fürstin of Riggafeld's blue and gold garniture made to mark the height of her reign. The first is a standard jousting configuration with no frills, wearing the traditional Imperial style of tonlet. She holds a lance in her hand, painted with a spiral of red, yellow, and blue, with a gilded guard. The second is the same, though bearing a crest with a crown of plaques, three sea-horse tails, and a red sea-horse it's center. A tilt shield is included, bearing an apple tree and a red sea-horse upon a golden field (dexter) and Brigitte's mother, Kurfürstin Gerlinde "the Prosperous" Helfried-Merhengstburg in black armor armed with family shield and Gerlinde's wife, Freifrau Enrica Hochdorfer of Helfriddorf in green and gold dress on a white field (dexter). The third is a configuration for the Kolbenturnier, with a special helmet and gorget. A different style of arm harness is worn with more apparent defense, alongside a locking gauntlet in her right hand.

Riefelharnisch of Kurfürstin Brigitte Helfried-Merhengstburg, Fürst von Riggafeld done in the regional style, gilded and tinted blue.
Still pretty WIP.
Brigitte Helfried-Merhengstburg in blue and gold armor. She wears a shorter tonlet to represent the fashion of her great-grandfather, Ludwig. The scallop-shell style couters is popular amongst most coastal regions of the Empire, being a symbol of the Goddess of Ports, Lighthouses, Wealth, and Safe Voyage, Havlavatta. This is the only arrangement with any shading for the armor, though still very incomplete. Stars denote the corresponding descriptions below. *: Alternate arrangement with a burgonet helmet, pauldrons with haute-pieces, exchanged tonlet with a longer skirt, and exchanged greaves with sabatons. The longer tonlet is evocative of the pleated skirt traditionally worn over harnesses made in the Empire and its former vassals. **: Alternate version with exchanged sleeves, pauldrons, mitten-style gauntlets, 1 of 4 close helmets, and the same long tonlet, greaves with sabatons. ***: Alternate version with the previous version's sleeves, gauntlets, greaves, and sabatons, with an alternate close helmet, the short tonlet, and the pauldrons with haute-pieces. The 2nd close helmet is done in a "bellow" style running vertically. ****: Alternate version with the 3rd close helmet and another titular inclusion of the "Riggafeld" style, the reinforcing plate which goes over the breastplate and plackart for additional protection. This helmet is made in a "bellow" style running horizontally. *****: Alternate version with the 4th close helmet, alternate pauldrons to evoke the short-sleeved mantel worn by the middle and upper classes, with a 3-quarter style tonlet that connects to the greaves. The 4th close helmet is smooth with a gilded visor, which pairs with the jousting configuration (not shown) of this garniture. ******: Alternate version in a 3-quarter style. *******: Alternate version for the Foot Tourney per the regulations of the Grafstadt Riggaburg. It includes one of the close helmets, a second gorget worn over an exchange cuirass with the reinforcing breastplate holding the gorget in place. A pauldron is included over the left shoulder. Both gauntlets are made to lock up for the wearer to not drop their sword and shield. There is space left on the canvas to include the jousting configuration when I get around to it.
