Wow, the male #IberianGreenWoodpecker is one heckuva looker! Sporting a red cap and malar strip with a narrow black border, a gray-green-yellowish body, and a pinkish-whiteish iris makes this bird pop in all the right ways. You go friend!

La verdad es que en #Madrid no nos podemos quejar de q no haya Pitos ibéricos/Picus sharpei,porque además son chulísimos.En el Puente de Toledo,bajo el cual discurre el #ManzanaresRenaturalizado había una parejita practicando escalada,hembra la de abajo,macho el de arriba 🥰💚🪶 #IberianGreenWoodpecker

Y así es como baja el Pito ibérico/Picus sharpei por el tronco de los árboles cuando quiere ir al suelo a buscar bichos🥰Esta tan bonita es una hembra (su bigotera es completamente negra) y se les suele ver (y escuchar) por todo el tramo urbano del #ManzanaresRenaturalizado #IberianGreenWoodpecker 🦉💚

A new drawing with ink and watercolours. It’s an Iberian green woodpecker (Picus sharpei). Which I saw quite frequently in the past few weeks. And as usually I had to picture it on the paper. I love how they drift in the sky from one to another tree.
