I'd take any recommendation for similar books that are pre-teen-friendly.

The thought turns my stomach ee cumings. Your failure to understand my repugnance is irrelevant. I'm not against anyone eating meat at any point during their life cycle. Homosapiens are omnivores so the craving is natural. Some of y'all vegans are almost as bad as Christians looking to convert.

Thanks for the interesting link, Kristina. With all of the uncertainty about what actually makes a species a species, isn't it possible that groups like the Neanderthals are more of a "variety" of homosapiens rather than a distinct species?
