If it doesn't, the world will be consumed by that devouring storm stuff. It eats magic and anyone who had any defense against the storm has been effectively removed (Elgar'nan.)
But if Solas consumed part of Elgar'nan and lives then maybe there's still a chance, too.

There was a prompt already and dialogue about the red lyrium giant (it wants to be big). So this dialogue triggered right as I picked up the Felandris.
Maybe Elgar'nan used felandris as a way of control before the blight if it's not blight.

I might be wrong about the plural/singular thing. I forgot about "ma banal'evanuris." Solas could be calling both Elgy and Ghilly tyrants. But given it follows him shouting "Elgar'nan, old friend!," I'd hazard it's an instance of singular "evanuris." Elvhen is such a mess lol 😆
