Jessie and I are #EatingPrestonHwy again and I need to strongly urge my fellow Louisvillians to get thee to Trujillo Honduran restaurant, just off Preston Hwy at 4413 St Rita Drive.

I had meat and shredded cabbage over some sort of freeze-dried or puffed plantains. Every bite was divine.

I've been slacking on my #EatingPrestonHwy reviews and need to play proper catch up at some point, but for now can I just say that I didn't know how much I was missing but absolutely needed El Mocajete's Gordita de Rajas in my life.

Roasted Poblanos, onions, cilantro, and cheese. Perfection.

I wasn't sure if Mi Bonito Pinotepa @ 7200 Preston Hwy was a dance club, restaurant, or bar. The answer is probably ¡yes! to dancing on late nights and weekends, but look at the amazing shrimp & birria we had tonight!

In this week's edition of #EatingPrestonHwy, Jessie and I were simply not prepared to tackle any of the more ambitious seafood towers on the menu at Marisqueria Vallarta (7416 Preston Hwy), but we found shrimp & tilapia menu options that were solid choices.

Tajin Cucumber Slices were a nice touch!

It's a special weekend edition of #EatingPrestonHwy because Domingo only serves Cuban sandwiches and Belgian waffles from 8-6 on weekdays, but 10-8 on weekends.

A great brunch or first date place. Eclectic fusion menu. Breakfast and lunch sandwiches. BLT & pulled pork here. Fries were great.

Jessie and I hit the #EatingPrestonHwy Mexican food jackpot this week at Taqueria El Taco Loco!

As soon as that molcajete came out sizzling, I was ready to hand out a trophy. Jessie said her Tacos Locos were also amazing. 5622 Preston Hwy.

How did Jessie and I salvage our terrible dinner? By marching four doors over and #EatingPrestonHwy at La Casa Del Pan Guatemalan Bakery.

The food gods still love us: just look at the huge trays of breads, pastries, and cakes they gave us for $15. The weekend looks better already.

I'm sorry to report that Tacolandia, 5400 Preston Hwy, is the first bad food experience for #EatingPrestonHwy. I guess they blew their entire budget on the cat robot and decor and didn't have enough money left over to hire a cook.

A very bad day was not enough to derail #EatingPrestonHwy plans tonight at Thai Noodles, 5800 Preston Hwy. We shared an appetizer sampler (very good!) and I took a break from Pad Kee Mao to try the Green Curry noodles while Jessie had the Panang Curry. We both loved our choices! ~$25/person

Delayed by the holidays, Jessie and I picked up #EatingPrestonHwy today at La Palma Cuban Restaurant & Bakery, 5614 Preston Hwy.

Enormous plates, your choice of meats, rice, beans, side for ~$15. Pork in sauce, black bean rice, plantains: all outstanding. Did I mention frisbee-sized pastries?
