my handheld came pre installed with easyrpg which runs rpgmaker 2000 games so witch's heart is a perfect fit it's super easy to install them too you basically just drag and drop the Data folder into the easyrpg roms list!

hacked the easyrpg player to remove those pesky exp indicators from the menu for games that don't actually use exp.. realizing it's actually pretty easy to do bullshit like this now so rm2k/3 mutuals hit me up if you want little custom engine edits or whatever

seems to be working now. maybe it doesn't like something that's in the files, maybe the exes for the game or easyrpg.
also, if this doesn't work or you get errors, I suggest getting the JP RM2K3 RTP and see if that helps.

i think i one time had a dream where they ported the original rpg maker Yume Nikki to switch. that would be neat. i might even pay money for that...maybe i should also try out the easyrpg player on 3ds

huh, isso era no editor, ou no jogo em si?
No jogo, vale tentar trocando o rpg_rt.exe pelo player.exe do easyrpg.
No editor, talvez possa tentar codar direto no TPC(lingugem de script do Maniacs), ou testar as versões mais recentes.
Uso o Maniacs a um tempinho já, e nunca esbarrei em nada assim 🤔

tentei pelo rpg maker 2000 e 2003, yume nikki na steam e pelo easyrpg e nada das músicas em midi tocarem
talvez até estejam tocando, só que não tem um .sf2 pra tocar, tenho que investigar isso depois

Was having some trouble with some files in Nepheshel not showing up last night. Turns out it just needed the RTP, which I suspected. Upon running it in easyRPG I got the following humorous message.

I'd play the OG freeware release but I'm running into some font rendering issues...
...and easyrpg doesn't support it because of the fuckery added to the rmk2003 exe.
I also cannot be fucked to spin up like a super basic win7 vm just to play this but maybe tomorrow me will be more willing.

dude blessings on the single person who commented on a Helen's Mysterious Castle Steam Guide talking about EasyRPG Player for playing RPG Maker 2000/2003. can fullscreen it with linear filtering and remap controller stuff. absolute godsend.

ohh wait I did not actually read that thread LOL. so easyrpg has a feature that can enable rm2k’s battle system in 2k3? I’m not sure exactly how that would work out but I may look into it! thank you

It's a bit of work, actually. I'll save you the hassle of trying to figure it out;
When you extract and open the game and update it with wine, download easyrpg and extrct that and then put it in the same folder as the Pokemon Eevee edition's exe file.
