We started the week in Vienna with talks on heatwaves, wildfires and extreme evaporation by Dominik Schumacher, Lars Nieradzki & Yannis Markonis. On Day 2 we dived deeper into ocean modeling with Hongmei Li and model evaluation using the ESMValTool by Valeriu Predoi.

Our first #UKCA - @UkesmProject user training for @ESMValTool is underway. Thanks to Dr Ranjini Swaminathan and ESMValTool team for organising/hosting and @oconnor_fm for organising!

I think there is some automated diagnostic effort now. Fairly sure Gregory plots are included in ESMValTool for cmip6 and for cmip7 it’s in the Rapid Evaluation Framework…
