Nuance is hard. Reflexive positions are easy. Public health has a long, fraught history with Big Tobacco, and that history makes it difficult to look at anything the industry touches without suspicion. I get it. I feel it.

If you think that a second Trump presidency would be a disaster for the US (I do) and that the election could come down to super tight margins in swing states (sadly plausible), then I think you should be wary of pressuring Biden to ban a product used by millions of people.
