Parnell is asking Commissioner Richard Freymond if a similar breakdown could be included in the DBIA's audited financial statements year-by-year.

He says council lacks a "line of sight" as to how to the $150,000 is spent. Council is accountable to taxpayers who pay into a levy to fund this settlement, and the DBIA's audits do not provide "that level of detail."

"The speed with which that funding can be accessed, it does compromise" the DBIA's ability to work effectively, says @mattcrowley.bsky.social .

So Baldwin says "I struggle to understand" how this affects the DBIA's budget.

Councillor Crowley asks if the results of the DBIA's yearly audits are supplied to the city, and if those audits contain a breakdown of the use of the $150,000 settlement. Mazloum says yes.
