The first item being discussed is a draft plan to redevelop 700 Parkhill road, currently a 128-unit rental complex. The owner wants to redevelop it into condominiums, but the report attached to this motion recommends against approving their plans.

We're now going into the general committee meeting, which starts with a public meeting under the planning act. We'll be discussing a draft plan for a condominium development, a zoning bylaw amendment for the expansion of a residential buildings, and another one for land development.

Coun. Duguay: "What is regrettable is the most peculiar and unusual settlement" relating to the city's choice to build a casino outside the downtown. He says the agreement originally intended to alleviate the effect of this casino not being situated downtown.
