Prolly Emboar, if only becuz it's a partner pokemon that has more time spent with it. Darmanitan has its fans, no doubt, but I would just catch one to fill the dex, but in a world where I chose Tepig, it's becuz I would've wanted them. (of course I prefer Snivy and Chikorita so yeah lmao)

🍃🐊 Remaining HGSS Starters: I started a HeartGold save file last year, and hunted for a shiny starter. Didn't care which one, just wanted one. I ended up getting shiny Cyndaquil on my girlfriend's birthday, and named him Candle. I'm now going back to get Chikorita and Totodile to complete the set.

Unironically, I don't think I can choose which I like more between the Totodile line and the Chikorita line as my favorite Johto starter after this game. I love them both equally.
