Crazy makeout spots in tamworth, could have got away with more.. #CastleGate
The quirky Six Poor Folk pub, 25 Castlegate, Knaresborough, N. Yorks & its associated blue plaque. Parts of the building date back to 1500; most is early 17th century with 19th & 20th century alterations. In a survey of 1611 it was a hospital/almshouse for six poor folk, hence its current name. /1

If you are in York for a few days, try out ‘Pairings Wine Bar’ on Castlegate. It’s a treat. If I didn’t have the kids all week I’d suggest a walk/wine myself! I’m only a couple of miles up the road 👍🏼

#BerwickUponTweed #Northumberland Arts and Craft influenced The Castle Hotel and Restaurant, Castlegate, Berwick upon Tweed. Built in 1910 it replaced three inns on the site. Internally the building has Art Deco features.Artist L.S. Lowery used to stay there during his visits.

The funny thing about this is that basically any criticism of the old CfPM can also be said of the old law courts down Castlegate.
