Truly elated to share this profile of costume designer Ming Wong, with fabulous photos by Duane Cole and digital build by Sarah Palmer.

The CanStage panto is such a showcase of the things Ming does well — I loved getting an exclusive peek at her process.

I became a fan of Lehrer’s music after seeing the 2006 Canstage production of “Letters from Lehrer” written by and starring Richard Greenblatt (b. 1953). 🎶 🎭 ✍️

I’m not going to CanStage when they’re programming U.S. plays
April 7, 2025 at 9:24 PM
You never need Broadway's permission to program Ibsen.
And it's still a bummer that Soulpepper had to cancel Tanika Gupta's version of A Doll's House set in 1879 Calcutta - which CanStage could have picked up, and maybe sold subscriptions on to audiences coming out of Mahabharata this month.

wow i had my dramaturgy undergrads debate whether or not a toronto theatre ("let's say CanStage," I told them) would produce Slave Play. they mostly thought no! huge kudos to brendan for a brave and necessary pick.
