The path ro reservoir pond and the Healty Living walk was flooded today. Drain pipe beneath running from the wetland was blocked so a bit of probing was needed. Flow restored and path draining well. #AshlawncuttingLNR #dayoffvolunteering.... all my fault anyway LOL...1/2

Thanks @wildtara.bsky.social @warwickshirecc.bsky.social .
Today was a planting day at #AshlawncuttingLNR. Ground was very stony as uou'd imagine on a disused railway but #volunteers persevered and we got most of the mix of species in the round, staked and fitted with biodegradable guards.

Naturalised at last ! We transplanted clumps of these from further North on the site #AshlawncuttingLNR but they've taken until now to show a few above ground. Tentatively posted @wildflowerhour.bsky.social

Our spring fed streams didn't freeze so birds could drink and forage when other places were solid ice. Wondering now if we should make a viewing screen..🤔. #BirdsSeenIn2026 #AshlawncuttingLNR

We hadn't quite finished all the brush cutting and raking at #AshlawncuttingLNR. The zigzag access path grasslands at Ashlawn Rd and a bit of scrub work made a good chilly and hilly morning's work for 5 of us today. With 50% of the graslands uncut we'll leave ell alone until April.
