#Ambetter
I turned 65 in November and went on Medicare. If not for that, it looks like my Ambetter premium (for a bare-bones policy, mainly for prescriptions) would've jumped too much for me to keep insurance. But then I wouldn't be able to buy my meds. I don't know what I would've done.

As someone who just signed up for Ambetter I am pissed wtf 😟

You know what Ambetter Perks does get you? Promotional offers on meal delivery services and prepaid phone plans. Fucking discounts on ESCAPE ROOMS. I just want fucking HEALTHCARE FOR MY FAMILY, you fucking pieces of shit. That's what I'm paying $2000 a month for and what you're not giving me.

We eventually learn that the service is "covered" through "Ambetter Perks," which is a "bonus program." The "coverage?" $100 discount on one session. At the same time, we're learning that several of my son's medications have been denied, despite prior approval and letters from his endocrinologist.

Rural area, mental health options are limited, so we use one of those services. It helps! But when my wife went in to update our insurance, the service said they don't support Ambetter, despite being listed on their website. It's phone call time, talking with befuddled call center workers for hours.

so fun thing i received the insurance denial letter on january 9th and according to ambetter i only had 2 days to appeal the decision from the date the letter was issued. the letter was issued on january 2nd. how do you appeal an insurance decision when the deadline passes before you receive notice?

I was hoping to somehow get top surgery this year covered in some way by insurance but apparently the crane center in Austin doesn’t accept Ambetter so I’m like okay wtf now??? Did I sign up for the wrong insurance & now I’m stuck? I want this surgery before I’m fuckin 30 I haven’t swam in 15 years

How tf do you get top surgery in Texas & how tf do you even search for top surgeons on Ambetter if their provider search is absolute garbage

How dumb is our health care? I chose an ACA plan in December (with the limited subsidies) partly based on it covering a medication my husband needs. I check today, it says NOT COVERED.

I call, they say "oh that just means it needs prior authorization."

WELL THEN FUCKING SAY THAT, AMBETTER.

Awful. I'd been w/ Ambetter for 8 years. Premiums pretty stable since 2018. Switched to OSCAR this year b/c my premiums will "only" go up $378/month instead of $622, but now my deductible is NINE THOUSAND DOLLARS. Loss of the ePTCs hurt, but even worse was my base premium increasing by around 65%.

We were assured when looking for plans that Ambetter covered his pump (Omnipod), CGM, and Endocrinologist are covered. Well, this week we found out we were misinformed. Omnipod is not covered and while his Endocrinologist's PRACTICE/Hospital is covered his endocrinologist is not .

Tristan also sees an endocrinologist, because his Type 1 Diabetes is pretty complicated. All of these things were covered by our healthcare marketplace Aenta plan. Aenta pulled out of the Marketplace for 2026. We switched to Ambetter Marketplace Plan....

🧵 post #4. Our premium will jump to $2,250 a month when the tax credits expire next month. Tristan's Omnipod is $735 a month under Ambetter , Insult offered a $100 co pay discount card for the Omnipod. This is a broken system. Many families are in the same situation....

Oh my gosh, that’s awful. I don’t know how people are affording it. I kept my same plan as last year with Ambetter. Thankfully, I’m still very poor so I’m entitled to the federal subsidy. Yippee. My cost went from $8 a month to $85 a month. Moving into a HUD apartment soon & that should help a lot!

I know they take Blue Cross and Ambetter. I’m sure a lot more. They do vaccinations too.

Ambetter just raised my daughter's premium by 60%.
December 19, 2025 at 3:46 PM
Ambetter increased my health insurance premium, for the same plan as this year, 1000%. I still qualify for a subsidy through the Affordable Care Act. My monthly premium payment for 2025 was $8 and the monthly payment for 2026 will be $88. Same coverage. Health insurance companies are robbing us.

”Ambetter Health Insurance” was already unaffordable a year ago.

I got a quote, and then they immediately sent me a bill which I threw into the garbage.
December 19, 2025 at 1:17 PM
Ambetter just raised my health insurance premium 26.5% without even knowing if the ACA subsidies would be voted through.
