Romania didn't think Afghanistan was too far so I sure hope they don't throw Europeans under the bus, knowing they'd need them in case of russian progress in the east. I understand all the arguments (though I think I'm missing one of your posts) & I sure hope every country plans accordingly, but..

It's crazy that US veterans are comparing American cities to
Being in a war zone in Afghanistan because of #IceLawlessness

Thank you @repbradsherman.bsky.social for your work. It’s harrowing times where your country threaten loyal allies. To stand up against that shows courage. We need more of that. Remember that Denmark lost as many soldiers in Afghanistan as the US did, and the other Nordic countries had losses too.

A Refuge for Afghan Music Is at Risk of Falling Silent
Peshawar is a haven for Afghan artists who fled from the Taliban, which had banned music. A new policy of deportations by Pakistan threatens this community of exiles.

Will the American people support Trump’s invasion of Greenland?

One thing I found surprising when we went into Afghanistan and Iraq was the bloodlust of the American people. They didn’t care we had B-52s bombing Afghan villages to settle tribal disputes,
January 17, 2026 at 5:11 AM
And also... NATO?

A Russian or Chinese attack on Greenland is an attack on NATO.

Which means all NATO countries defend it.

Which means the USA already defends it (the same way Danes died in Afghanistan for us)

Are they saying the USA is incapable of defending Greenland against China or Russia?

Cops are pepper sprayed as part of their training in a controlled setting, not because it shows them how to properly use it, but as a way to normalize use.

A "If I can take it, so can you," situation.

The military did the same thing with waterboarding in Afghanistan/Iraq.
U.S. judge orders federal agents to stop pepper spraying, retaliating against peaceful Minnesota protesters
The ruling in a case from December applies to federal agents participating in immigration enforcement under Operation Metro Surge.

Since when is the USA the most powerfull military in the world? When did they last prove that? America has won two wars since WW2 80 years ago, Iraq and Panama, they've been involved in more wars they haven't won, Korean War, Vietnam War, Cuba Invasion and War in Afghanistan. It's all propoganda!

Fun fact, in Chinese game Where Winds Meet, you're not allowed to type a few things in chat, or to the LLM NPCs. For example this is something you're not allowed to write:

You know that MAGAs used terms like 'This is War'. Currently, they are provoking you. When you react wrongly then civil war.

The America of today isn't ready for civil war. If it ever happens, America migjt be worse than Libya, Syria or Afghanistan.

Stephen Miller says Denmark is too small and weak to defend Greenland.
Yeah, and Vietnam was too small and weak to defend itself. And the Taliban were too small and weak to defend Afghanistan. And Ukraine was too small and weak to defend against Russia.
Read some history, Steve, and get real.

He's 100% a fascist. The details are a bit hazy, but I'm pretty sure he got banned off the Alternate History forum forever ago for advocating we kill every adult in Afghanistan and take their children.

By that idiotic logic, we can take just about any country we want. But in the real world it doesn’t work that way. Has he not learned anything from Afghanistan? Iraq?

No shit?

And that changes what? Was he or was he not the leader of a Terrorist organization that attacked U.S.?

Joe Biden killed Al Zawahiri with a hellfire missile from a drone. Right after ISIS attacked and killed 12 American Soldiers in Afghanistan during the withdrawal

Afghan civilians had the same thoughts about the U.S. military. Afghanistan, to them, was not a combat zone, either. Foreign entities made it into one.

To my friends in Denmark who I’ve never met: Please forgive our nation for the drivel this moron delivers. The strength and heroism of your nation is not forgotten here. Against the Nazis, against the soviets, beside our troops in Afghanistan, the Danes have been unshakable. Thank you. Cheers.
