Zohran’s win showed that the establishment’s grip is loosening. If this is the way they want to cement their removal in history, so be it. It’s unfortunate that so many people will suffer as a result of their cowardice. We demand new, young, leaders who aren’t afraid to continue to fight for us!
If Dems cave on the mere PROMISE of a vote, those Dems that cave will need to be run out of office, primary the fuck out of them and LEADERSHIP for not being able to fucking lead. This is getting stupid with these constant losses because of shit leadership.

50th anniversary of the sinking of the largest freighter on the Great Lakes at the time. GL shipping incredible part of our commerce as are the tugs & barges on our rivers. Locks and dams feats of engineering. Is this even mentioned in schools today?
On November 10, 1975, the Edmund Fitzgerald sank in Lake Superior. Before the end of the year, Gordon Lightfoot had recorded his song about it. youtu.be/FuzTkGyxkYI?...

More fresh new hell.
The President wouldn't last five minutes as an air traffic controller, and after everything they've been through - and the way this administration has treated them from Day One - he has no business shitting on them now.

Bernie ftw
Sanders: That is a totally meaningless gesture. You can get 100 votes here and it won't mean anything because the House is not going to take it up.

It may if we let them know what we think.
80% of Democratic voters want a new leader in the Senate.
Does that matter at all to Democratic senators?

Dems who voted to end the shut down say the shut down wasn't working; that it gave DJT more power. Yes, ppl were going to hurt. It was going to be rough. But it also was getting the attention of some who weren't invested. And now what lies ahead? Is this tactic going to work? Magic 8 Ball says NO!!

Call your reps/Senators & all the others. Hit 'em all hard & repeatedly. There's not enough repetition. We call or send an email 1X & stop. We can't do that!! Annoy the hell out of all of them. Call, text, email, write letters, make comments on X, FB, NYT, everywhere. Repetition of the messages! 💙

Bullies gain power when their misconduct succeeds in causing righteous people to yield in the face of wrongdoing. That’s why voting for Trump's continuing resolution - without any protection against his health care cuts or his growing illegality - is a mistake.

"Submission emboldens the tyrant. The threat grows."
Standing up to a tyrant - who is willing to impose pain as leverage to compel loyalty or acquiescence - is hard. You can convince yourself that yielding stops the pain and brings you back to "normal".
But there is no "normal". Submission emboldens the tyrant. The threat grows.

It’s almost as if…our political system is not equipped to deal with a far right authoritarian party
seems to me that those democrats inclined not to fight perceive themselves as living through a somewhat ordinary cycle of presidential overreach and backlash and not something much more significant and dangerous
