Well yeah, we badgered YouTube about it so much they eventually spilled the beans on the ad-blocker thing despite that being detrimental to their war on ad blockers just to clear the air and maintain a modicum of trust. This is why it's very, very important to follow up on things you hear about.

I find that an ad blocker combined with an overlay remover helps. Because the adblocker removal thingies are often just overlays.

i mean i have content blockers and i think some additional ad blocker extensions in safari it just still does this all the time for me even on like regular articles that don't look insane

i mainly use my switch for youtube so i dont have an ad blocker. and youtube cant seem to decide if im a 4 year old girl or a retiree. i know they must have that #demographicdata on me so i just suppose im a little annoyed they can't even market properly

Hi @thestar.com subscriber here with complaints. Your website can’t be used with mobile Safari “Show Reader” Mode. And as if showing ads to paying customers is ok, you make the article not load with ad blocker. Please remedy. Don’t think I renew if the site remains so unusable!
