It is now six days that Odie has been missing and it’s killing me. He broke out of an improperly secured carrier when I picked him up from the vet. No luck with the live trap (two opossums and a different cat). Please keep your fingers crossed that he makes it home (the vet is a 6 mile rural drive).

No clue why companies are leaning so hard into to GenAI. If a human were hired and experienced “hallucinations” which resulted in the creation of completely fictitious content with bogus citations, they were be fired in a heartbeat, not heavily invested in.

Harvested my first mushrooms from the shitake logs I inoculated early last spring. About 3/4 of a pound so far, which almost covers the cost of the plugs for the logs.

Both parties need to be dropped. We need a coalition of voices, not an arguing couple.

So if you “accidentally” get a tattoo of a well known Nazi symbol and when you find out what the tattoo actually is, if your first response is not to say you had no idea and will be getting it removed/covered IMMEDIATELY and apologize for your error, then chances are you actually are a Nazi.

I will say this: trump leaning into AI to create propaganda (albeit bad propaganda) is perhaps the biggest argument to regulate the absolute FUCK out of AI tech, including putting harsh anti-deep fake laws on the books (this has always been one of my biggest concern for unregulated AI).
