Top 8 locked, let’s go. I had pretty close to the nuts. T3 I had put together flubs, floodcaller, earthcraft w/2 basics, and just stormed off until I found ewit to grab a shrieking drake I milled over earlier.

This game was a certified cucking, but the most interesting game of the day. Rog/si mulled to 4 and got a slow hand, I went to 5 and got a slow hand, rata mulled to 5 for a trash hand, and terra kept a bad seven. 2 turbo decks did functionally nothing T1-2. 1/2

This whole even we had assumed they were pairing tables so 1,2,3,4 would play, so when standings were posted and I saw I was gonna be down paired to play with the no winners I was so fucking excited. Plot twist the tables were paired 1,5,9,13.

We finally got there! It was a risky 1 land 5 mana sources that cost 1/2 hand. But T2 six after drawing a spirit guide into T3 song of creation saw mishra lock down with a one ring, but it only took me about 10 minutes to assemble the win.

Kenrith had T3 infinite colorless, but was a newer player and was investing extra colored mana in turning on the combo giving us like three extra turns to play. But a dress down and dismember on flubs turns left me unable to take advantage (I let him know post game).

Due to an odd number there were two tables of 3, and damn does that make the game even more pod racing.
I kept a hand able to loop Displacer kitten + pyretic ritual as soon as I found red mana (I never did). Kenrith tapped out, mothman thoracled.

Game 1 was what a repeat of round 2 with us going 15 turns until I could handle double beans anymore. Game 2 saw me getting a really aggressive start killing him before he could sunfall. Game 3 saw him mull to 5 and I kept double duress.
