I've only finished episode 5, but I said EXACTLY this to my partner halfway through it. The first batch of episodes had the same problem. It's literally the final season, how is almost EVERY scene just poorly written walk-and-talk filler?? It's super frustrating how slowly the plot has moved.

Much of that is user-driven, of course. But my point is, if Valve is worried about extreme and problematic content on the platform, just look around. There are way worse examples than whatever the fuck Horses was doing. Maybe if your game has an anime art style, you're just allowed to do whatever?

There are numerous games still listed on Steam depicting sexual content with characters that are explicitly or implicitly underage. There are Steam curators who compile lists of "lolicon games." Games featuring young girls always have "cute" and "funny" in the top tags, a dog whistle for pedophiles.

Just seems bizarre that depicting brutal violence, gore, and sexual assault for the express purpose of sexual gratification is totally fine on there, but this was enough to get Horses completely banned from release on the platform forever.

That such a work of art was made for only around 10 million dollars is really astounding given its scale and quality, and I can’t wait to see what Sandfall does next.

It gets tiring and makes you seem pretty off-putting when that's the only shit you post. Wouldn't you rather contribute something that actually helps people? Some sort of unique perspective only you can provide? Or at least something that makes people smile rather than makes them more miserable?

This isn't even a "keep your politics to yourself" post. You *should* be vocal about your politics and stand up for the right causes! But you aren't doing that by posting screenshots of random hateful comments and talking about how terrible they are. You're just amplifying their message and hatred.

Used to follow this guy who posted lots of interesting insights about the games industry. Now he just gets angry all the time and talks about how stupid Trump supporters are. Yeah man, we know! You aren't convincing anyone, you're just preaching to the choir. What's the point? Where's the value?

people were saying bsky feels like "the old internet", but it doesn't. the old internet was fucking cool and navigating it was fun. this place just feels like a facade of the modern internet with half its functionality.

the algorithmic discovery is the entire point of these apps for both viewers and creators. just utterly baffling to me how archaic anything related to bsky feels. what is the end goal of this platform? just continue to be "not twitter" and hope for the best?
