There are numerous games still listed on Steam depicting sexual content with characters that are explicitly or implicitly underage. There are Steam curators who compile lists of "lolicon games." Games featuring young girls always have "cute" and "funny" in the top tags, a dog whistle for pedophiles.

Just seems bizarre that depicting brutal violence, gore, and sexual assault for the express purpose of sexual gratification is totally fine on there, but this was enough to get Horses completely banned from release on the platform forever.

back in MY day, when i made a video about the origins of lets play for a college class i was taking, we had none of this fancy newfangled AI nonsense. we had minecraft cows. because, you know, slowBEEF. yep.

I think my takeaway from the article is that we need a way fuckin higher bar for who we consider "experts". The good news, though, is that in just two years we're going to get amazing AI-generated (totally not slop) video games that take only a month to make! Elder Scrolls VI is almost here, yippie!

Unlike seemingly anyone talking about this article on social media, I actually read it. And then I read the "AI 2027" timeline about super AI taking over earth. It is pure fiction, a series of predictions that are far too precise to even really take seriously. It's okay though, 2027 will be sick.
